Abstract

The reactions of corresponding 2,3-diamino-pyridines with succinic anhydride were carried out. 3-(2-Imidazo[4,5-b]pyridine)propionic acid and its N-1 and N-3 methyl derivatives were isolated. The acids obtained were converted into the esters, amides, nitriles, thioamides, amidoximes and hydrazides. Some of the synthesized compounds were tested for tuberculostatic activity.
