Abstract

More recent research into the causes of asthma, hay fever, rhinoconjunctivitis and atopic dermatitis increasingly shows that these allergic diseases differ considerably in terms of their course, prognosis and pathomechanism. Furthermore, it is evident that a more subtle and sophisticated approach is needed to clarify the question as to the influence of genetic or environmental factors.

Asthma

This feed focuses in Asthma in which your airways narrow and swell. This can make breathing difficult and trigger coughing, wheezing and shortness of breath.

Atopic Dermatitis

Atopic dermatitis is a chronic inflammatory genetically determined disease of the skin marked by increased ability to form reagin (IgE), with increased susceptibility to allergic rhinitis and asthma, and hereditary disposition to a lowered threshold for pruritus. Discover the latest research on atopic dermatitis here.

Allergy and Asthma

Allergy and asthma are inflammatory disorders that are triggered by the activation of an allergen-specific regulatory t cell. These t cells become activated when allergens are recognized by allergen-presenting cells. Here is the latest research on allergy and asthma.
