Abstract

The individual variability of the anterior commissure in shape, transverse section, size and extent of protrusion into the third ventricle was studied on 136 specimens of the human brain. Its center was localized 3.1 mm below and 2.8 mm to the front of the lower margin of Monro's foramen. The localization of the center of the anterior commissure on the ventriculograms may be exactly determined from the length of the "upper margin of Monro's foramen--posterior commissure" distance and the given angles.
