Asthma management in children

Nebraska Nurse
Karen Smith

Abstract

Asthma can be very serious. In the United States approximately 5,000 deaths, 2 million emergency room visits and 500,000 hospitalizations occur each year. As each individual learns more about asthma, adheres to their treatment plan and visits their healthcare provider for regular follow-up care, the goals for better asthma care can be achieved.
