Blood glucose abd hormonal counterregulation in juvenile type I diabetics during exercise (author's transl)

Abstract

A decline in blood glucose is observed in juvenile insulin-treated diabetics after an exercise test. Though a prompt rise in counter regulatory hormones is seen, a compensation of the lowered glucose level did not take place. This is the result of a more rapid absorption of the s.c. injected insulin during and after physical activity.
