Brucellosis in northern Nigerians

Abstract

Over a ten year period 1971-1981, 37 patients with brucellosis diagnosed serologically and by microbiological culture were treated at Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital, Zaria. The clinical features and therapeutic outcome were described. Big spleen disease and spinal brucellosis were prominent presentations. A mortality of 5.4% was observed.
