Abstract

Analysis of 504 observations made over a period of 17 years at Fann C.H.U. Neurological Clinic in Dakar led the authors to the following conclusions: Heart related C.V.A.S. occur frequently, predominantly among women. Despite early treatment, mortality remains high. Rhythm trouble is the most common etiology, hence the importance of general health education with insistence on preventing primary and secondary cardiopathies.
