Abstract

The radiofrequency ablation (RFA) is advantageous due to gradual destruction of tissue which enables not only an interruption of conduction, but also its modification-retardation of conduction. This state is in most cases sufficient for the control of tachycardia. It is necessary to be aware that radiofrequency ablation does not coincide with barrotrauma, uncontrollable increase of temperature of electrodes and the requirement of general anaesthesis. This technique enables the RF ablation therapy: 1. ectopic atrial tachycardia, 2. intraatrial tachycardia, 3. atrial flutter of type Z by ablation of the lower posterolateral area. Arrhythmias are abnormalities in heart rhythms, which can be either too fast or too slow. They can result from abnormalities of the initiation of an impulse or impulse conduction or a combination of both. Here is the latest research on arrhythmias.
