Abstract

Demineralized and freeze-dried human allografts were implanted into 39 bony defects of 37 teeth in 26 cases. After 3-45 months, the total rate of efficacy was 82.05%. There was no significant difference between the two implanted materials. It was further proved that three walled infrabony defects or angular bone destructions in radiographs were most indicated for implantation, and the efficacy of implants had no relationship with the pocket depth.

Allogenic & Autologous Therapies

Allogenic therapies are generated in large batches from unrelated donor tissues such as bone marrow. In contrast, autologous therapies are manufactures as a single lot from the patient being treated. Here is the latest research on allogenic and autologous therapies.
