Effectiveness of modern coronary surgery

Abstract

Coronary surgery is a well established method in special cases of severe coronary heart disease. Improvement of performance as well as reduction of subjective signs, mainly angina pectoris, can be attained by aorto-coronary vein bypass operation. The lethality is today 2-4%.
