Abstract

A 35-year-old man with hematuria had a polypoid bladder lesion, which on microscopic examination was a fibroepithelial polyp containing numerous stromal cells with atypical, hyperchromatic nuclei. The polyp resembled those encountered in the lower female genital tract and other sites and must be distinguished from sarcoma botryoides.
