Abstract

The analitical comparison of normal and anemic b/b rat hemoglobins was made by polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (PGE) nad also by DEAE-cellulose chromatography. Six different hemoglobin components constitute total hemoglobin of normal rat. The component six of total hemoglobin (Hb VI) of controls was absent from the hemolysates of anemic animals. This could be demonstrated either by PGE or by DEAE-cellulose chromatography. Hb V was also missing to a verying degree in some of anemic animal.
