Abstract

The authors suggest a new type of plastic reconstruction of the Achilles tendon, using homotendons of fibular muscles. After this technic 60 patients were operated upon, the immediate and late results of the treatment were studied. Positive issues of this therapy obtained in 59 patients enabled the authors to recommend this method of surgical reconstruction of injured Achilles tendons for the orthopedo-traumatological practice.
