Abstract

Budaya-budaya lokal akan mengalami penurunan ketika masyarakat lebih mengutamakan kesenangan karena penggunaan teknologi terkini. Boleh saja kita menikmati teknologi dan informasi, asalkan dengan kesadaran bahwa teknologi dan informasi adalah sarana atau media untuk mempermudah pelaksanaan berbagai kegiatan dan kesibukan. Teknologi dan informasi hanyalah “alat” semata yang dapat memberikan keuntungan dan kenyamanan tersendiri. Di samping itu, teknologi dan informasi adalah bagian yang tidak terpisahkan dari realitas kehidupan manusia secara universal.Namun, kita pun jangan melupakan tanggung jawab untuk terus mempertahankan budaya-budaya yang telah membentuk karakter dan relasi kita dengan sesama. Budaya-budaya tersebut justru mempererat hubungan (relasi) kita, satu dengan lainnya. Jika demikian, adalah tugas bersama untuk melihat betapa signifikannya untuk mempertahankan budaya, melestarikan budaya, dan terus menyatakan sikap peduli terhadap budayaSeyogianya, budaya menjadi sistem yang mempererat masyarakat, tanpa memandang kedudukan, kepemilikan ekonomi, kedudukan, agama, suku, dan lain sebagainya.
