Abstract

Phthalocyanines (Pcs) are unique sensitizers in Dye Sensitized Solar Cells (DSSCs) due to their stability and intense absorption in the red and near-IR regions. In the present work, we have studied for the first time single carboxy-ZnPc regioisomers substituted at the non-peripheral (α) positions by rigid aryl groups, which has shed light on the influence of steric hindrance and/or orientation of the substituent around the anchoring group in the photovoltaic response. Thus, regioisomer 1a bearing the aryl group far away from the anchoring group produce a more effective sensitization of the TiO2 films and higher Jsc. In addition, taking advantage of the good photovoltaic performance in the near-IR region of this ZnPc 1a, it has been combined with another appropriate dye producing a panchromatic sensitization and an increase of the overall device efficiency.

Allergy and Asthma

Allergy and asthma are inflammatory disorders that are triggered by the activation of an allergen-specific regulatory t cell. These t cells become activated when allergens are recognized by allergen-presenting cells. Here is the latest research on allergy and asthma.
