Lithium-palladium complex supported by phosphonatophosphine and chloride ligands

Abstract

The reaction of the phosphonatophosphine ligand Ph2PCH(SiMe3)P(O)(OEt)2 with [PdCl2(COD)] in the presence of LiCl afforded the neutral, mixed-metal complex [LiPd2CI5{mu-Ph2PCH2P(O)(OEt)2}2] in which the Li(+) cation is tetrahedrally coordinated by the PO bonds and two Pd-bound Cl atoms.
