Nederlands tijdschrift voor tandheelkunde
R Koole

Abstract

The primary closure of lip and palate gives spectacular results. The sequence and timing of the treatment afterwards can give rise to a conflict of interest. Speech development and maxillary growth are examples of this phenomenon. Some backgrounds are discussed on which management of the CLP treatment is chosen. The article ends with a management scheme divided in age categories.
