Nitric oxide--its effects and significance in the human body

Abstract

Nitric oxide is a reactive gas with series of important functions in human body. An important deal of nitric oxide in the etiology and pathogenesis of series of autoimmune diseases, degenerative diseases of central nervous system etc. is suggested. This article summarizes the current knowledge about NO mean in medicine with impact to a perspective possibility of influence of any diseases by modulation of nitric oxide synthesis.
