Playing the Melanoma Endgame

Clinical Cancer Research : an Official Journal of the American Association for Cancer Research

Abstract

Treatments for melanoma are of two main types: targeted therapies and immune checkpoint inhibitors. However, both are effective in only a subset of patients and are limited by acquired resistance. Here, the authors present the preclinical basis to broadly target different forms of therapy-resistant melanoma. Cell Checkpoints & Regulators

Cell cycle checkpoints are a series of complex checkpoint mechanisms that detect DNA abnormalities and ensure that DNA replication and repair are complete before cell division. They are primarily regulated by cyclins, cyclin-dependent kinases, and the anaphase-promoting complex/cyclosome. Here is the latest research.

Cancer Genomics (Keystone)

Cancer genomics approaches employ high-throughput technologies to identify the complete catalog of somatic alterations that characterize the genome, transcriptome and epigenome of cohorts of tumor samples. Discover the latest research using such technologies in this feed.
