Abstract

Von Willebrand's disease was found to play a particular role in obstetrics for its physiological peculiarities of coagulation which cause haemorrhage disorders after childbirth and during the puerperal period rather than during pregnancy and in concomitance with labour. A comprehensive account of the problem is given, with reference being made to the author's cases.
