Rectus sheath hematoma--detection of hemorrhage of ruptured aneurysm of the epigastric artery in CT

Abstract

A case of rectus sheath hematoma is described. Computed tomography demonstrated a still active bleeding from an aneurysm which was situated at the junction of the inferior and superior epigastric artery. The recognition of a continuous hemorrhage contributed to the decision of an immediate surgical intervention.
