Abstract

Long term follow-up data on 43 infants with life threatening cardiovascular anomalies treated at the University of Kansas Medical Center are presented. Our long term survival for the group has been 63% and palliative or corrective surgery was necessary in 67% of the cases. The importance of early diagnosis and the role played by surgery in the management of this group of cardiac anomalies have been emphasized.
