The American Surgeon
L H Toledo-Pereyra, G H MacKenzie

Abstract

This study demonstrates that multiple organ perfusion (kidney, heart, and pancreas) for 24 hours is a satisfactory method for transplantation. There was no evidence of perfusion damage by functional or histologic parameters. The potential clinical application of these findings is evident.
