Abstract

The schizophrenia-associated protein DISC1 regulates several steps in neurogenesis. In a recent study published in Neuron, Singh et al. showed how DISC1 and its interacting partner Dixdc1 regulate cell proliferation and cell migration in different manners during embryonic neurogenesis.
