Abstract

With reference to their years of experience in psychiatric work, pre- and post-Law 180, in various institutional contexts and sociocultural situations, the "myth" element (term counter-posed to "logos") is considered to be an important psychopathological component, above all in an anthropological reflexion on the major teachings of the European psychopathological school. Nevertheless, in the current phase of cultural massification, this component seems to dissolve, and today there is a prevalence of a psychopathological phenomenology dominated by elements of negative type (autism, inhibition, depression).
