Abstract

Primary or secondary grafting with autologous cancellous bone has become a routine procedure combined with osteosynthetic measures. At the Berufsgenossenschaftliche Unfallklinik Frankfurt 422 transplantations of autologous cancellous bone were performed during the last 6 years. The technique of obtaining the cancellous bone from the tibial head became highly standardized.
