Abstract

Dry effervescent baths were tried in combined treatment of insulin-dependent and non-insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus. Positive effects were found: a decrease in hyperglycemia, glucosuria, some parameters of lipid metabolism, an increase in muscular performance, myocardial reserve, efficacy of cardiac activity. These responses as well as improvement in peripheral circulation, microcirculation and blood rheology were registered in both types of diabetes.
