Background General practitioners (GPs) in China are playing an increasingly important role in geriatric care. In the context of GP training in geriatrics, the current study sought to explore the perception of local GP trainers regarding how GP training can better serve the purpose of healthy ageing promotion. Methods In this convergent mixed-methods design study, a convenience sample of local senior GP trainers were enrolled in a Train-the-Trainer (TTT) course in Guangzhou China.
