Utilização de Atividades Lúdicas como Instrumento de Educação Ambiental com Alunos Cegos e com Baixa Visão do Instituto de Cegos da Bahia

Abstract

Este trabalho surgiu pelo interesse de envolver as questões ecológicas, incluindo o público com necessidades especiais, pois remete a uma reflexão sobre a sensibilização e o sentido mais íntimo de educação ambiental. A deficiência visual não é barreira para o contato com a natureza e há muitas iniciativas que estimulam a inclusão, mostrando que as belezas naturais, além de apreciadas com os olhos, podem ser também percebidas por outros sentidos. Neste trabalho houve a participação de docentes e discentes do IFBA, com os alunos cegos e de baixa visão do ICB, promovendo a troca de experiências sobre questões voltadas para a educação ambiental. Foi verificado através deste trabalho que a inclusão de pessoas com deficiência em atividades envolvendo a horta urbana, reciclagem, alimentação saudável, dentre outras concorre para a formação de um indivíduo com valores sociais, conhecimentos, habilidades, atitudes voltadas para a conservação e uso sustentável do meio ambiente e de uma visão holística sobre os espaços que compõe a instituição. Desta forma, este trabalho possibilitou germinar futuros agentes socioambientais com deficiência visual participativo e integrado ao meio ambiente, pelo qual ele está inserido.
